While beer isn’t really in anyway “Fruit Punch” (it’s really more of a grain punch) this blog is about a lot of different things. I really enjoy creating systems and coming up with theories and structures. Similarly, I don’t really enjoy following structure, so many ideas that I’ve had, I have not followed through with. I’m hoping to change that.
Which brings me back to beer.
Years ago, as an art student at a small liberal arts school in Ohio, I had this idea to do a series of beer lace photos. Before everyone was donning their macro lenses in bars and restaurants to photograph their food, I just wanted to get all artistic on some IPA’s and Stout’s. But it never really happened. I only had a film camera (SLR) and wasn’t going to chance my drunken focus skills on lovely pints only to develop them and see a big blurry mess.
But I digress. What I’m trying to get at is a metaphor. I have these ideas, you see, and I want to pursue them in some capacity but needed an outlet to share them, so that I actually do them. That’s what this blog is for. Whether they’re weird, wacky, full of hops, or without a head, I will bring you my craft, cooking, food, sewing and music lover projects. I hope you stick around.
